Wisconsin Driver Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision
A Wisconsin woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday after a pickup truck swerved into her lane.
The incident occurred on Greenville Drive, east of the intersection near Manley Road outside of Hortonville about 5 p.m.
According to an article by Post-Crescent, the 28-year-old woman was driving a small sport utility vehicle (SUV) and was thrown from the vehicle as a result of the crash. An infant was discovered in the backseat of the vehicle during an investigation into the incident.

The baby was reportedly secured in an infant seat in the back of the SUV. The infant was transported to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah for precautionary reasons, according to officials with the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department. The relationship between the woman and the infant was not immediately known.
“The fuel truck was going east on Greenville Drive and stopped at the railroad tracks, as required by law, Staff Sgt. Gary Shortess of the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department said in the article. “The pickup driver did not realize the fuel truck had stopped at the crossing and swerved left into the oncoming lane to avoid it, he said in the article. The SUV was headed west and swerved to avoid the pickup, got back onto the road and then over-corrected and flipped.”
“The baby boy was in good condition Wednesday evening, according to ThedaCare spokeswoman Megan Mulholland,” the article reads.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries as a result of the crash, but details of the extent of the man’s injuries have not yet been released. He was reportedly transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.
The driver of the fuel truck that was involved in the crash was not injured.
Greenville Drive was blocked off between Manley and North Road, and traffic was rerouted while investigators worked the scene.
The sheriff’s department did a crash reconstruction Wednesday night. The street was reopened to traffic around 11 p.m.
