One Injured in Crash Involving Tractor Trailer and Box Truck
A woman was injured Wednesday morning in a crash involving a commercial tractor trailer and box truck.

According to an article by FOX 6 News, the woman, who is from Milwaukee, only suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol said the incident occurred on I-41 southbound at County Highway K, north of Slinger in Washington County Wednesday, August 3rd.
“The call for this incident came in around 10:00 a.m. It happened in the southbound lanes of I-41 in Washington County,” the article reads. “Slinger police, officials with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene.”
Officials with the Wisconsin State Patrol told the news station that the driver of the tractor trailer, owned by Quad/Graphics, wasn’t hurt in the crash.
The driver of the box truck was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries and observation.
The article gave no indication about how the crash occurred or who was at fault in the incident, although photos included in the article show the Quad/Graphics tractor trailer on the side of the interstate with the front end smashed in. The tractor trailer is also pictured as being tipped at a slight angle on the side of a ditch.
There was also no mention in the article of charges being filed or citations given to either of the drivers in connection to the crash.
“The Quad/Graphics tractor trailer had to be off-loaded by hand, as the trailer broke in half when a wrecker tried to remove it from the ditch/shoulder,” the article reads.
The article suggests that the trailer breaking in half is what took authorities so long to reopen the stretch of highway to traffic flow following the crash.
As of 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, the right lane of I-41 SB at County Highway K remained closed, and delays in excess of three miles were reported. The scene was cleared about 5:00 p.m., nearly seven hours after the initial emergency call came in.
