Three people, including a child, were injured in a crash with a Wisconsin State Trooper in Arcadia last weekend.

According to an article by WEAU, the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department released a statement about the crash that says it happened about 10:30 a.m. the morning of Saturday, August 20.

“A Wisconsin State Trooper was driving along State Highway 93 near the intersection of County Highway A in the Township of Arcadia when he tried turning around on a suspected traffic violator,” the article reads. “During the turn, the trooper was hit by another vehicle.”

The trooper and the two people in the other vehicle were transported to Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall with non-life threatening injuries, WEAU reports.

The article does not say whether or not the state trooper had the lights or sirens on while attempting to turn around on the roadway.

The names of those involved were released on August 24 in an article by the Leader-Telegram.

“Trooper Neal Walsh was attempting to turn his vehicle around on a suspected traffic violator when a collision occurred with a vehicle driven by Charlene Bautch, 50, of Arcadia,” the Leader-Telegram article reads. “Walsh, Bautch and Bautch’s 11-year-old daughter were transported to Tri-County Hospital in Whitehall with non-life-threatening injuries.”

No information had been released as of Thursday night in regards to the medical status of the three who were injured or whether or not anyone is facing charges in connection to the incident.

The crash remains under investigation by the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department.
