One person was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a collision on Hwy. 35 in Wisconsin.

According to various media reports, three vehicles collided in the crash, which occurred just east of the Winona interstate bridge.

“Two cars and a large utility truck collided around 3 p.m.; it wasn’t immediately clear what direction they were traveling, or what caused the crash,” an article by the Winona Daily News reports. “According to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department, one of the drivers suffered injuries that were serious but not believed to be life-threatening, and was transported by ambulance to Winona Health. The driver’s name was not immediately available.”

Both cars reportedly suffered major damage in the incident. The front end of a bronze car was smashed and both ends of a silver car were crumpled into the car’s interior. There was debris scattered all over the roadway and into nearby ditches. No information was given in regards to the extent of damage to the utility truck.

There’s no mention in the article which vehicle the injured driver was traveling in.

“Traffic was directed onto the nearby service road for a time as authorities took photos of the damage and cleared the scene,” the article reads. “The Winona Fire Department and Winona Area Ambulance Service assisted the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.”
