In Wisconsin last Wednesday two people were injured following a two-vehicle crash. According to various media reports, the incident occurred on Highway US 63 at 690th Street near Ellsworth, Wisconsin in Pierce County.
One of the drivers reportedly sustained injuries that are life-threatening.
“Around 12:43 p.m., the driver of a southbound Chevrolet Impala lost control on the highway and crossed into the northbound lane where it was hit by a GMC Sierra pick-up truck and trailer, according to a report from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and state patrol,” an article posted on the KSTP-TV website reads.
The person who was driving the Impala is the one whose injuries are life-threatening, according to the KSTP article. That driver was reportedly airlifted from the crash scene. A passenger in that same car was also injured.
According to the article, the people who were in the truck did not suffer any life-threatening injuries. It’s unclear if they were injured at all and if so, the extent of those injuries – or whether or not anyone in the truck was transported to a hospital for injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
According to the article, the passenger in the Impala only suffered minor injuries.
The crash is still under investigation. An update on the injuries sustained had not been released as of Friday morning. No names were released to the public either.
There’s no mention in the article as to whether or not anyone is facing charges in connection to the crash.
